When Zaheer Khan announced his engagement on Twitter, Anil Kumble and Delhi Daredevils tagged senior journalist Sagarika Ghose instead of tagging bride-to-be Sagarika Ghatge

Former Indian cricketer and Delhi Daredevils captain Zaheer Khan announced his engagement to actor Sagarika Ghatge on Monday on social media. The former pacer tweeted a photo with the actor and it said, “Never laugh at your wife’s choices. You are one of them!!! Partners for Life #engaged.”

Ghatge too shared a photo on Twitter with the good news. Both have made many public appearances together including cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s wedding in December.

As wishes started pouring in, some ended up tagging the wrong Sagarika on Twitter including Anil Kumble and Delhi Daredevils. They tagged senior journalist Sagarika Ghose, who has a verified profile on Twitter, instead of Sagarika Ghatge who is operating an unverified handle.

Ghose pointed out the mistake and both Anil Kumble and Delhi Daredevils were quick to correct themselves. The IPL club posted a cheeky tweet to save their faces.

The Sagarika mix-up went viral on Twitter and many users had fun at this mistake.

The Zaheer-led Delhi Daredevils are currently sixth in the table with just two wins from six matches. He has appeared in 95 IPL matches and is one wicket short of his 100 wickets feat.

Zaheer Khan debuted in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Later the 38-year-old moved to Mumbai Indians and played two seasons for them. In 2011, he joined Bangalore and stayed with them till 2013. Delhi bought him in the next edition and the pacer has been with them since then.
